Description
Say hello to the High-Protein Breakfast Banana Split — your new morning BFF that’s tasty, filling, and secretly packed with the good stuff!
Ingredients
- 6 peanuts
- 1 large or 2 small squares of 85% or more dark chocolate
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 170g high-protein yoghurt
- 1 tbs chia seeds
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- 1 cherry or a few raspberries for topping
Instructions
- Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 30-second bursts. Crush peanuts and set both aside.
- In a bowl, combine the protein yoghurt, chia seeds, and vanilla protein powder until the mixture becomes fluffy.
- Slice the banana lengthways. Heat the coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the banana slices and cook until golden on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- Transfer the banana to a plate. Top with two scoops of the fluffy yoghurt mixture. Drizzle with the melted chocolate and sprinkle over the crushed peanuts. Finish with a cherry or raspberries on top.
Notes
- You can find high-protein yoghurt at the supermarket – or, if you’re a low-effort baddie like me, just get it delivered by our friends at MILKRUN. When choosing yoghurt, check the label and go for one with no added sugar.
