Calling all pizza lovers. Have we got a treat for you? We call it Low-Carb Pizza in One Pan. Why? It’s got all the taste of pizza—think meaty, tomatoey, melty cheesy goodness—but it’s low on carbs* (cos, no crust). The other amazing thing about Low-Carb Pizza in One Pan is – super quick and easy to cook – I’m talking, one pan, 30 minutes tops. Plus, it has a good dose of veggies, like onion, tomato, capsicum and mushrooms that no one will know they’re eating (I’m looking at you, kids and fussy husbands). And before I go, one last thing. Low-Carb Pizza in One Pan. Totally customisable. If you’re one of those people (ahem, maniacs) who like ham and pineapple on a pizza, throw it on. Anything goes! Quick. Easy. Delicious. Congratulations. You just met your new life (pizza) partner!
*Just to clarify, there is absolutely nothing wrong with carbs; in fact, everything is right with them. Healthy bodies need them, and we fully support them here at YTGT.

Ingredients
- 500g extra lean beef mince
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 small brown onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp Italian herbs
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 button mushrooms
- 1 red capsicum (bell pepper)
- 1.5 cups tomato passata (approximately 400g)
- 12 pitted olives
- 14 slices of pepperoni or salami
- 1 cup mozzarella
- Basil for garnishing
Instructions
- Dice the onion, mushroom and capsicum (bell pepper) into small pieces, and crush the garlic. Set aside.
- In an oven-proof pan, add the olive oil and onion and cook over a medium heat until the onion has softened. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the beef mince and cook until browned, breaking the mince up with a wooden spoon as it is cooking.
- Add the chopped mushrooms, capsicum (bell pepper) and Italian herbs. Next, pour over the passata sauce and stir until the ingredients are well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables soften, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pan from heat, and sprinkle over cheese. Arrange the pepperoni and olives on top of the cheese.
- Turn on your oven grill. Transfer the pan to the oven and grill until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Remove the pan from the oven, and garnish with fresh basil. Divide the low-carb pizza in one pan between 4 bowls and enjoy!
Notes
- For an extra boost of healthy yum serve your low-carb pizza in one pan with a side salad or steamed greens.
- If you’re a ‘it’s not a pizza without a crust’ person, pop a crusty bread roll on your plate (hot tip: slathered in butter, a roll makes the perfect dipper).
- This recipe is more flexible than a yoga instructor – top it with whatever you want – think ham and pineapple, prosciutto and rocket, BBQ chicken. The world is your pizza (literally!).
